Business Development Representative

Work Location: Hybrid Remote / Carlow Office with Flexi-Working Options

Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday: 2 pm – 10.30 pm

Salary: €28,000.00-€32,000.00 per year

About the Job

We are seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our team at Maven TM. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in generating leads for our American-based clients. If you are driven, eager to learn and thrive in a sales environment, we want to hear from you.


  • Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective clients using provided lists.
  • Introduce our client’s products/services and effectively communicate the value proposition.
  • Engage potential clients in meaningful conversations to identify their needs and qualify their interest.
  • Schedule appointments or follow-up calls for the sales team to further discuss potential solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions and outcomes in a CRM system.
  • Meet or exceed assigned targets for calls made, leads generated, and conversion 
  • Continuously improve product knowledge to confidently address client inquiries and objections.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine calling strategies and optimise lead generation efforts.


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a B2B sales environment.
  • Proven experience in cold calling or telemarketing, preferably in a sales-driven environment. Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport over the phone.
  • Persuasive and persistent with the ability to handle objections and rejection positively.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and manage call volumes.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a drive to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to navigate and update customer records (Salesforce, Zoho, or HubSpot).
    Proficient in using standard office software and comfortable with learning new technologies.
  • Fluency in the English language required (both written and spoken).
  • Diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales is a plus.
